The Local SI module makes it possible to display the standard-compliant measuring positions for a sound measurement in a matter of seconds through augmented reality glasses. The sound intensity probe can then be conveniently aligned with these virtual points. The measurement results are displayed directly over the measurement object by using sound field map. This makes it easy to identify acoustic weak points.
Sound Intensity
The Sound Intensity Module enables an automatic data transfer from the measurement software on the PC (ArtemiS SUITE) to the augmented reality glasses (Hololens 2). The measurement results are automatically transferred to ArtemiS SUITE, which allows the results to be evaluated quickly and efficiently.
Coordinate Viewer
The Coordinate Viewer displays position data in space with one click. The data is entered into an Excel spreadsheet in the form of simple X,Y,Z coordinates and transferred to the AR glasses by clicking on the integrated HoloMetrix button. Measuring points can be added at any time. They will be sent to the Excel App and are displayed by using the integrated two-way communication.

Which components does the AR solution include?
The AR solution consists of augmented reality glasses (HoloLens 2 from Microsoft), the "Sound HUB" software platform and individual modules that can be used to expand the Sound HUB as required.
What type of measurements is the method suitable for?
With the SI Local module and the Sound Intensity module, sound intensity measurements can be carried out at discrete measurement positions in accordance with DIN EN ISO 9614 1 or using a scan path in accordance with DIN EN ISO 9614-3.
The Coordinate Viewer module also enables measurements in accordance with the DIN EN ISO 374x series of standards, as the measuring positions can be selected individually. However, standard-independent measurement setups and internal factory setups can also be configured without any problems. This makes the Coordinate Viewer extremely versatile.
What are the advantages compared to conventional measurement methods?

How accurate is the measurement?
The deviation of the test setup (enveloping surface) is less than 1 cm / m.
What should the measuring environment be like? Are there minimum requirements or obstacles?
The AR solution can be used indoors, in acoustic rooms as well as outdoors (protect from moisture - rain / fog!). The HoloLens 2 scans the environment and guides itself by distinctive points. The more points there are for orientation, the more accurate the display of the measurement grid and therefore the measurement itself.
